ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, conducted the surprise visit to Traffic Police headquarters Faizabad to ensure better service delivery and effective oversight of ongoing services.
During the visit, he reviewed the operations at the licensing branch in detail and directly interacted with citizens to hear their concerns and suggestions. On the occasion, Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad Capt. (retd) Hamzah Humayun briefed the IGP Islamabad and took him around various service counters, explaining the service flow, processing mechanisms, and other operational aspects.
The IGP Islamabad instructed the staff to make the driving license issuance process simpler, faster, and more transparent so that citizens do not face any inconvenience. He also met with students of the “Friends of Police” internship program and highlighted the importance of public-police cooperation. He appreciated the role of youth in societal development and encouraged their active participation.
IGP Islamabad emphasized that staff should deal with the public politely, guide them properly, and provide high-quality services to all citizens without discrimination. He stated that the mission of Islamabad Police is not just law enforcement but also to ensure the provision of citizen-friendly services as a top priority.
