ISLAMABAD: Following the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police continues its indiscriminate operations against criminal elements involved in vehicle thefts and other crimes in the federal capital.
As part of these efforts, the Khanna police team arrested a key member of a gang involved in several car and motorcycle thefts. Police team also recovered a stolen vehicle and three motorcycles worth millions of rupees from the nabbed accused.
The arrested accused has been identified as Shezan. A case has been registered against him. During the initial investigation, the accused confessed to being involved in multiple theft incidents. Further investigation is ongoing.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, stated that Islamabad Police is taking all possible measures to protect the lives and property of citizens. No criminal element will be allowed to disrupt the peace of the public.
Citizens are also requested to cooperate with the police and immediately report any suspicious activity or objects to their respective police station or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.”
