IGP chairs review meetings on investigations, traffic management

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired a series of important meetings late at night at the Central Police Office Islamabad.
The meetings were attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, AIG Legal, SSP Investigation, SP City, CTO Islamabad, and SP Traffic. During the meetings, the IGP Islamabad conducted a detailed review of all aspects related to the investigation of serious cases, the preparation of challans, elimination of legal loopholes, and effective follow-up of cases in courts.
He instructed the officers to make full use of modern technology in the investigation system in line with the requirements of modern policing, ensuring both speed and transparency in investigative processes.
IGP Islamabad further emphasized that the timely collection of forensic evidence, use of digital tools, and application of advanced data analysis would not only accelerate case resolution but also make the process of justice delivery more effective and reliable.
He added that for efficient investigations, special focus should be placed on optimal utilization of human resources, promotion of teamwork, and professional training of officers and personnel, enabling the police force to effectively tackle modern challenges.
He stressed that all investigations must be conducted strictly on merit, based on evidence and legal requirements, to ensure that justice is served without any hindrance.
IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi also held a detailed discussion with the CTO Islamabad and SP Traffic on effective traffic management. He directed the CTO to ensure special deployments during ongoing development and construction projects in the city to facilitate citizens and prevent traffic congestion during peak hours.
He further instructed that citizens be adequately informed about alternative routes and traffic plans through public awareness campaigns.
IGP Islamabad also emphasized the use of modern technology to make the licensing system more transparent and efficient, and issued directions for the establishment of new and improved driving test tracks for the ease of citizens.
He reiterated that Islamabad Police is fully committed to maintaining law and order, preventing crime, ensuring adherence to traffic laws, and providing the best possible facilities to the citizens of the capital.
