DG Safe City orders enhanced surveillance, traffic management

ISLAMABAD: During the meeting, special directives were issued to ensure surveillance of criminal elements through Safe City cameras, maintain smooth traffic flow, and enhance monitoring of recreational areas, markets, key locations across the city, and other public places.
According to the details, DG Safe City Islamabad Muhammad Haroon Joya held a meeting at Safe City Islamabad. The meeting was attended by SSP Safe City Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, Director IT, and other senior officers.

During the meeting, DG Safe City issued special instructions to ensure effective monitoring of criminal elements through Safe City cameras, maintain smooth traffic flow, and strengthen surveillance of recreational places, markets, major city points, and public areas.
He also directed Virtual Police Officers to promptly identify criminal groups and accelerate actions for their arrest. Furthermore, DG Safe City instructed that emergency calls received on the Pucar-15 helpline related to crimes should be responded immediately. He emphasized that cameras should be used to trace the routes of offenders instantly, record their appearances, and keep field officers updated about their locations so that swift arrests can be ensured.
He added that camera operators should remain vigilant to help maintain the smooth flow of traffic and ensure a coordinated traffic management system across the federal capital.
