IGP visits PS Khanna, reviews public facilities

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, visited Khanna Police Station. On this occasion, SP Swan Zone Khurram Ashraf and other police officers were also present.
During the visit, the IGP Islamabad reviewed the public facilities available at the police station. He directed the officers to implement the “SIPS Protocol” at the station. He further said that all police stations in the federal capital exist to facilitate and provide immediate assistance to the public. Citizens’ issues should be resolved on a priority basis at police stations.


He also directed that all motorcycles, vehicles and other case property currently parked at the station be immediately sent to the central malkhana.
IGP Islamabad also chaired a meeting with the AIG Establishment and Director Initiatives, in which he reviewed in detail the administrative affairs of the police force, the welfare of officers and officials, the enhancement of their professional capacity, modern training programs, the effective use of technology, improvements in public service standards and ongoing reform initiatives.
On this occasion, he directed the senior police officers concerned to ensure transparency, professionalism, and courteous behavior with the public in all departments of the police. He emphasized adopting an integrated strategy for crime prevention and promoting community policing.
Furthermore, he directed that concrete steps be taken to further improve the welfare and professional training of police officers and officials, as well as to enhance public facilities in all police stations.
Later, under the open-door policy, the IGP Islamabad held a Khuli Kachehri at the Central Police Office. He listened to the issues of citizens and police officers and issued on-the-spot orders for their resolution. On this occasion, he stated that the prompt and merit-based resolution of citizens’ problems is our top priority.
