Two caught, stolen bikes recovered

ISLAMABAD: Following the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, special measures are being undertaken to curb criminal activities and ensure the safety and security of the federal capital.
Islamabad Police have launched a large-scale crackdown to arrest individuals involved in motorcycle theft and to curb overall crime in the city. In this regard, the Bhara Kahu police station team used modern technical tools and human intelligence to arrest two members of an organized gang involved in multiple motorcycle thefts.
Police teams also recovered stolen motorcycles and stolen motorbikes parts from their possession. The accused have been identified as Muhammad Yousaf and Aryan. During the initial investigation, the accused confessed to committing several thefts in Bhara Kahu and surrounding areas. Cases have been registered against them and further investigation is underway. DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, stated that strict actions are being taken against those involved in motorcycle theft and street crimes in the capital, which has led to a significant decrease in such incidents.
He directed all officers to continue the crackdown against criminals and ensure they are brought to justice. He also urged the public to cooperate with the police and immediately report any suspicious activity or object to the nearest police station or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.
