ISLAMABAD: Fanning the spirit of innovation among budding professionals and preparing them to meet contemporary technological challenges, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Wah Campus hosted the 21st edition of its prestigious national-level mega IT event, Visio Spark-2025, the other day.
This year’s event attracted more than 1,500 students from 50 leading universities and institutions across Pakistan.
The participants competed in 17 diverse categories, including software development, robotics, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and other emerging disciplines, said a news release.
The contests aimed to promote innovation, teamwork, and technical excellence among the country’s next generation of technology leaders.
Addressing the participants, CUI Wah Campus Director Professor Dr. Ehsan Ullah Munir welcomed the judges, guests, and teams, noting that Visio Spark has evolved into a premier platform for academic–industry collaboration.
He said the event provided students with an opportunity to translate classroom learning into practical, real-world problem-solving.
Prof. Dr. Munir also expressed gratitude to the judges, organizers, faculty members, and participants for their commitment, and acknowledged the support of the sponsors, including Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Intag Laptop Stores, ENUM Consultancy, Study Expert, and Nets (Software House).
The closing ceremony was graced by the chief guest, Professor Dr. Saeed Badshah, Vice Chancellor, University of Technology (UoT), Nowshera.
Commending the organizers and participating institutions, he highlighted CUI Wah’s contribution to nurturing future innovators through this national platform.
He urged students to prepare themselves for emerging technological demands to remain competitive in the global landscape.
Later, the chief guest, accompanied by the Campus Director and event sponsors, distributed souvenirs among judges and awarded cash prizes to the winning teams in recognition of their exceptional talent and outstanding performance.
