ISLAMABAD: SSP Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, visited different areas of the federal capital, including checkpoints and churches, where he met the police officers and personnel deployed on duty and reviewed security measures. On the occasion, he directed all officers to stay alert at all times and keep a strict watch on criminal elements.
Issuing instructions to further tighten security at checkpoints and ensure effective checking of suspicious vehicles and motorcycles, he said that additional personnel and mobile units have been deployed at checkpoints to strengthen security and patrolling measures.
He also instructed legal action against unregistered vehicles and motorcycles, and emphasized that thorough checking of suspicious individuals and vehicles must be ensured under all circumstances.
He added that strict legal action will be taken against those who attempt to disrupt peace and security. SSP Operations also directed all officers to treat citizens politely during checking and to prioritize public convenience at all times.
He further stated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property is the top priority of Islamabad Police. He appealed to citizens to cooperate with the police during checking so that peace and security in the city can be maintained.
