Enhanced security measures in place at recreational sites

ISLAMABAD: In line with the special directives of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police are actively deployed across all recreational spots and parks in the city to ensure public safety.
In this regard, comprehensive security arrangements have been implemented at Margalla Hills, Faisal Masjid, Daman-e-Koh, Fatima Jinnah Park, Pakistan Monument, major commercial centers, and various other points. To maintain peace and ensure citizens’ security at recreational sites, police officers remain on duty, while mobile patrolling units have been deployed to enhance patrolling effectiveness.
The Dolphin Squad and female police officers have also been stationed at recreational locations. Additionally, special parking areas have been allocated at all major recreational sites to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Fresh police contingents have been deployed for immediate response in case of any emergency. Special guidance points have also been established to provide citizens with necessary assistance and support.
Meanwhile, the surveillance of suspicious individuals and monitoring of key entry and exit points of the city continue round-the-clock through the Safe City Islamabad cameras.
IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, stated that safeguarding the lives and property of citizens is the top priority of the police. We want citizens to enjoy tourism and recreation without fear.
Police remain alert at all times, and all available resources are being utilized to make Islamabad one of the safest cities, IGP said.
He also urged citizens to adopt safety precautions during recreational activities and promptly report any suspicious person or activity to the nearest police station or by dialing the emergency helpline Pucar-15.
