CM Balochistan urges nation to back armed forces against enemy narrative

ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister of Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that the nation must stand firmly with its armed forces to counter and dismantle the enemy’s narrative.
He expressed these views during a press conference at the Balochistan House here Sunday. Bugti said that more than 100 militants had surrendered in Dera Bugti. These militants had been operating from the mountains.
Sarfraz Bugti stated that during the past year, around 900 incidents occurred, Out of these, 205 security personnel embraced martyrdom in Balochistan. Likewise, 280 unarmed civilians, including men and women, were brutally killed.
During security operations, 760 terrorists were eliminated over the past year, he added.
The Chief Minister warned that escalating militancy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan has emerged as a grave security challenge, posing risks not only to Pakistan but to the wider region.
He emphasized that the enemy’s chances of victory were zero due to the presence of a well-organized, disciplined, and fully prepared Pakistan Army, supported by a resilient nation.
He said that anti-state political narratives strengthen the hands of hostile elements. “We have witnessed how, on May 9 and 10, the Pakistan Army and the nation unitedly foiled India’s nefarious designs,” he added.
Bugti cautioned that continuous propaganda against the Pakistan Armed Forces poses a threat to national security.
“Stopping terrorist recruitment and cutting their logistical lines is the most crucial phase,” Bugti noted.
