ISLAMABAD: Following the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, special measures are being undertaken to curb criminal activities and to ensure the safety and security of the federal capital. In line with these directions, search and combing operations are being carried out on a regular basis across different parts of Islamabad.
In this regard, search and combing operations were conducted in the jurisdiction of Aabpara, Bani Gala, Tarnol and Shams Colony police stations under the supervision of zonal SP’s.
During the operations, 380 individuals, 192 houses, 05 hotels, 154 motorcycles and 49 vehicles were thoroughly checked, while 15 suspicious persons and 17 bikes and one vehicle also shifted to police stations for legal proceedings.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, emphasized that the primary objective of these operations is to tighten the security cordon around criminal elements and to further strengthen the overall security framework of the city.
He further added that Islamabad Police will continue indiscriminate actions against criminals, land grabbers and drug traffickers.
He also urged citizens to cooperate with the police and to immediately report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15”.
