25 Pakistanis graduate from pilot Pak-China welders training program

ISLAMABAD: Twenty-five Pakistanis completed a two-month pilot welding program conducted by China International Intellectech Group Co. (CIIC), and concluded their training this week with a graduation ceremony at the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) headquarters in Islamabad.
The trainees also received basic Chinese language instruction as part of the Pakistan-China Welders Training Program, which is jointly implemented in partnership with NAVTTC and Skill Tech Hub Pakistan.
At the ceremony, the graduates were awarded certificates, paving the way for them to secure jobs with Chinese companies operating in Pakistan.
“Today was their graduation ceremony where they received their certificates and offers from Chinese companies operating in Pakistan,” said NAVTTC Chairperson Gulmina Bilal Ahmad.
She said the program is intended to equip young Pakistanis with internationally recognized technical skills while strengthening cooperation between the two countries. Representatives from CIIC and Skill Tech Hub attended the ceremony and congratulated the trainees.
Organizers said the welding program is the first phase of a wider training effort and that similar initiatives are expected to be rolled out in other technical fields. –Agencies
