ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a meeting with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy on Wednesday emphasized upon the need to maintain peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy.
Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, called on PM Shehbaz Sharif here at the PM House.
During the warm and cordial meeting, recent regional and global developments, were discussed, a press statement issued by the PM House said.
The prime minister conveyed his respectful regards and good wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as well as for Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
While expressing satisfaction at the excellent state of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the prime minister reaffirmed his strong commitment and resolve to further deepen the long-standing fraternal bonds between both countries. In this regard, he thanked Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for his patronage and support to Pakistan, that had brought the two countries closer than ever before.
The prime minister fondly recalled his meetings with the Crown Prince, during the year, that had been highly productive and had contributed significantly in elevating Pak-Saudi bilateral ties to new levels.
He also expressed deep appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s consistent support to Pakistan in times of need and its constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.
Ambassador Al-Malkiy conveyed the warm greetings from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the prime minister.
He reiterated the Kingdom’s desire to expand cooperation with Pakistan in all areas of mutual interest.
