LAHORE: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of police personnel in a firing incident in
district Lakki Marwat.
The prime minister prayed for the elevation of ranks of the martyred police officials and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. He said the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of the martyrs in this hour of grief.
Paying tribute to the sacrifices of the police force, the prime minister said that police personnel had always played the role of a frontline force in maintaining peace and law and order in the country. He reaffirmed the government’s resolve to continue supporting law enforcement agencies in their fight against terrorism and crime.
The prime minister emphasized that the sacrifices of the martyrs would not go in vain and assured that all possible measures would be taken to ensure peace and security. –Agencies
