ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an important meeting at Central Police Office. The meeting was attended by AIG General Syed Inayat Ali Shah, AIG Operations Shoaib Masood, development, and the accounts officers.
During the meeting, the IGP Islamabad conducted a detailed review of the promotion of community policing, provision of modern and quality facilities to citizens, police force welfare, and ongoing development projects.
On this occasion, he issued clear directives to all officers, emphasizing that the concept of community policing should be promoted in an effective manner and that policing standards should be further improved with the cooperation of citizens.
He further stated that comprehensive and practical measures should be taken, with public participation, to eliminate crime so that a safe and peaceful society can be established.
While stressing the provision of modern facilities to citizens, the IGP Islamabad directed that all possible facilities be provided to complainants visiting police stations and facilitation centers, and that their issues be resolved on a priority basis.
He further instructed that police stations and other police buildings be upgraded in accordance with modern requirements and that all ongoing development projects of the police force be completed within the stipulated time.
Declaring the welfare of police officers and personnel to be of utmost importance, he stated that the well-being of the force must be ensured at all costs and that issues faced by police personnel should be addressed on a priority basis.
Along with this, all officers were directed to regularly hold orderly rooms in their respective divisions and zones so that issues that are faced by police personnel can be identified and resolved in a timely manner.
In conclusion, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi stated that ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and property, providing them with prompt and modern facilities, and safeguarding the welfare of the police force are among the top priorities.
Through these measures, the federal capital Islamabad can be made a model, safe, and people-friendly city, IGP reiterated.
