ISLAMABAD: Director General Safe City / DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joya held an important meeting at Safe City Islamabad. The meeting was attended by Director Systems, Safe City technical team, and officers from the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
The meeting focused on upgrading and strengthening inter-departmental communication within Islamabad Police in line with modern standards to ensure quicker arrival of police at crime scenes and accident sites.
On this occasion, DG Safe City stated that effective internal communication is the backbone of any institution, and organizations must focus on continuously improving their communication systems in order to achieve progress.
He further said that, following the directives of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the communication system of Islamabad Police will be upgraded in accordance with standard requirements so that police can reach incident and accident locations in a timely manner.
DG Safe City Islamabad also added that citizens can inform the police in case of any emergency by calling “Pucar-15”. Islamabad Police remains fully committed to serving the citizens of the federal capital at all times.
