IGP chairs Operational Commanders’ Conference, reviews performance

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held a 6-hour long Operational Commanders’ Conference at Safe City Islamabad. During the conference, all DIGs, AIGs, and SSPs presented performance reports of their divisions and briefed the IGP Islamabad. The IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi reviewed the overall performance of the police force, security measures, use of technology, and ongoing projects aimed at public convenience.
On this occasion, he issued directives, emphasizing that all officers should make serving the citizens and enforcing the law effectively their top priority. Strict actions should be taken against those involved in kite-selling and kite-flying across the city.
He further stated that strict legal action would be taken against elements endangering the lives of citizens. He also instructed all officers to intensify actions against criminal elements. IGP Islamabad also instructed all officers to expand the scope of the “Nasha Ab Nahi” movement in the federal capital. He urged that more online services be provided for the convenience of citizens.
He also directed officers to bring more innovation in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and IT and expand the scope of Safe City Islamabad with the acquisition of new technologies.
To enhance the capabilities of police officers, training programs should be improved further. The IGP Islamabad assured that the Islamabad Police would ensure peace, security, and the safety of citizens’ lives and property in the federal capital.
He directed all officers to ensure better coordination with their subordinate teams. All commanders were instructed to take special care of the welfare of police officers and personnel, ensuring regular briefings and strict departmental accountability.
