IGP for enhancing security using AI

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an important at the Central Police Office, Islamabad. The meeting was attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, AIG Operations Shoaib Masood, SSPs, zonal SPs, and SHOs of all police stations.
During the meeting, the IGP Islamabad conducted a detailed review of the overall law and order situation and received briefings on ongoing measures for the prevention of serious crimes, crackdown against kite flying, recovery of illegal weapons, and curbing the use and sale of narcotics.
On this occasion, he directed all officers to continue indiscriminate and effective operations against criminal elements. IGP Islamabad instructed police officers to further improve the standard of professional services, adopt modern investigative techniques, and align case investigations with contemporary methods to ensure logical and timely conclusions.
He placed special emphasis on providing maximum facilitation and prompt guidance to citizens, improving the environment of police stations, and promoting public-friendly policing.
Furthermore, the IGP Islamabad stated that the surveillance system should be further strengthened through the effective use of modern technology, Safe City cameras, artificial intelligence, and digital data. He directed that intelligence-based operations be accelerated and made more effective, emphasizing that all available resources must be utilized for timely identification and prevention of crimes.
He reaffirmed the commitment that Islamabad Police remains fully alert, proactive, and determined at all times to protect the lives and property of citizens, uphold the rule of law, and maintain peace and order.
Any form of negligence or lapse of duty will not be tolerated.
