ISLAMABAD: Sumbal police station received information regarding the recovery of the dead body of an unidentified woman from Sector G-12, indicating that she had been murdered by an unknown person.
Following the report, Sumbal police registered FIR No. 79/26 and initiated a thorough investigation. During the course of the investigation, joint teams of Sumbal police and the Homicide Unit, utilizing modern technical and scientific methods, traced the accused through Safe City cameras and other technical resources.
As a result, the accused Muhammad Aslam was arrested for his involvement in the murder. During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed to killing the woman after subjecting her to severe beating and torture. Legal proceedings against the accused are underway, and further investigation is in progress.
