IGP joins cops, traders for Iftar at D-Chowk

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, attended the Iftar dinner organized at D-Chowk. Police officers from the Security division, representatives of civil society, office bearers of the Chamber of Commerce, and members of the trader community were also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, the IGP Islamabad stated that Islamabad Police are actively working to ensure the protection of citizens lives and property in the federal capital and to provide them with every possible facility.
He further said that his participation in the Iftar dinner was aimed at expressing solidarity with officers engaged in field duties and at further enhancing the security strategy in view of their operational responsibilities, so that a stable law and order situation is maintained in Islamabad and citizens feel secure.
The participants of the Iftar dinner praised the police for maintaining peace in the federal capital, ensuring the security of commercial centers and public places, and strengthening mutual cooperation between the police and the community.
Later, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi met police officers performing security duties outside masjids during Fajr prayers. He personally reviewed the security arrangements for masjids and Imambargahs.
He stated that every officer and official of Islamabad Police is determined to fulfill their duties, and that the role of each member of the force in performing their responsibilities is commendable.
Encouraging the officers and personnel, he said he takes pride in the professionalism, bravery, and integrity of Islamabad Police officers and personnel. He directed them to continue performing their duties professionally during the holy month of Ramadan and to carry out their official responsibilities with dedication and enthusiasm.
