Illegal Israeli settlers ignite Palestinian homes, vehicles in occupied West Bank

Illegal Israeli settlers set fire to Palestinian houses and cars in the village of Susya, located south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, during the holy month of Ramadan, Anadolu Agency reported, citing Al-Baidar Human Rights Organisation.

Five residential properties and multiple vehicles were burned, the group reported, and added that settlers stormed the village, inflicting extensive material damage and instilling fear among local residents, especially women and children.

Local sources said that settlers also launched tear gas canisters into several homes, causing four people to suffer breathing difficulties due to smoke inhalation.

Violence by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank has intensified since the start of the Gaza conflict in October 2023. Palestinian reports indicate that more than 1,116 people have been killed, approximately 11,500 injured, and around 22,000 detained during this period. –Agencies
