Over 1,000 individuals checked during citywide search & combing

ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police has intensified search and combing operations in various areas of the federal capital to curb crime and crack down on criminal elements.
The grand search and combing operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. During the search operations, a total of 1,007 individuals, 268 households, 22 shops, 33 guest houses, 275 motorcycles, and 146 vehicles were checked.
Additionally, 60 suspicious individuals including five illegally residing foreign nationals and 30 motorcycles were shifted to the police station for further verification.
During the search operations, three criminal elements were also arrested. Narcotics and weapons along with ammunition were recovered from their possession.
