86 cops elevated to next ranks

ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has approved the promotion of 86 officers of Islamabad Police to their next ranks. This includes 49 Constables promoted to Head Constables, 18 Head Constables promoted to Assistant Sub-Inspectors, and 16 ASIs promoted to Sub-Inspectors.
Additionally, three ministerial staff officers were also promoted to the next ranks. In this regard, the departmental promotion committee of Islamabad Police held a meeting to review vacant positions, ensuring merit and transparency in promotions.
During the meeting, senior police officers evaluated the records of officers from various ranks who met the required standards. The committee recommended officers with excellent records for promotion to higher ranks.
On this occasion, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said that departmental promotion reflects an increase in responsibilities and trust, while promotion is also a fundamental right of every police officer.
He further stated that he expects the newly promoted officers to perform their duties with diligence and integrity, dedicating themselves fully to maintaining the department honor in the spirit of the martyrs and veterans.
IGP Islamabad also stated that the welfare of the police force is one of his top priorities. All officers who pass departmental promotion courses will be promoted to vacant positions based on merit and seniority. This process will continue until all vacant positions are filled.
