ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held key meetings at the Central Police Office Islamabad. The meetings were attended by AIG Logistics, AIG General, AIG Special Initiatives, Senior Superintendent Jail, and other officers.
During the meeting, IGP Islamabad reviewed law and order, overall security, and the measures being implemented in the federal capital. He issued instructions to all officers to ensure the maintenance of peace and security across the district and to take robust security measures.
On this occasion, he emphasized that the foremost priority of Islamabad Police is the protection of citizens lives and property. IGP Islamabad also reviewed the process of upgrading police stations under the SIPS protocol.
He instructed all officers to complete pending construction work at police stations and other offices as soon as possible. He emphasized that all police stations should be equipped with state of the art facilities to provide maximum services to citizens in a safe and efficient environment.
Officers were also instructed to expedite other ongoing development projects. IGP Islamabad reviewed the construction progress of Islamabad Model Jail and directed officers to ensure the timely completion of construction so that the jail could become operational as soon as possible.
Subsequently, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an open court under the “Open Door Policy” at the CPO Islamabad. During the open court, he listened to the problems of citizens and police officers and issued on the spot instructions for their resolution.
He instructed officers that resolving citizens issues fairly and promptly is a top priority. He added that any citizen facing issues with the police could come to the open court, and his doors are always open to the public.
IGP Islamabad further instructed relevant officers to resolve citizens complaints on merit within the specified timeframe and submit reports to the CPO. He emphasized that Islamabad Police is taking various measures to facilitate citizens, and holding daily open courts is helping to resolve issues on a priority basis.
