CTO meets Transport Association

ISLAMABAD: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk chaired important meeting at Safe City Islamabad with representatives of the Transport Association. The meeting was attended by SP Traffic Majid Iqbal, SP Saddar Zone Kazim Naqvi, SP CTD Khalid Mehmood Awan, other traffic police officers, and members of the Transport Association.
The main purpose of the meeting was to identify transporters charging excessive fares in the city and to ensure strict legal action against them in accordance with the law.
On this occasion, the CTO Islamabad issued clear directions that no one will be allowed to charge excessive fares from passengers under any circumstances, and strict legal action will be taken against such elements.
During the meeting, the representatives of the Transport Association were directed to promptly inform the police about passenger movement and any unusual situation related to transportation, so that public convenience and security can be ensured.
CTO Islamabad further stated that providing quality and dignified travel facilities to citizens is the top priority of Islamabad Police, and no negligence or violation of the law will be tolerated in this regard.
All participants of the meeting expressed their commitment to work together to provide better travel facilities to citizens and to improve the traffic system, so that the transport system in Islamabad can be made more efficient and organized.
