Multiple search operations held across Capital

ISLAMABAD: Following the directives of IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, special measures are being undertaken to curb criminal activities and ensure the safety and security of the federal capital. In this regard, search and combing operations were conducted in the jurisdictions of multiple police stations under the supervision of zonal SPs.
During the search operations, 787 individuals, 351 houses, 119 shops, 48 hotels, 339 motorcycles, and 116 vehicles were thoroughly checked. Meanwhile, 04 illegal residing foreign nationals, 61 suspicious persons and 31 motorcycles were shifted to police stations for legal proceedings.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, emphasized that the primary objective of these operations is to tighten the security cordon around criminal elements and further strengthen the overall security framework of the city.
He further added that Islamabad Police will continue indiscriminate action against criminals, land grabbers, and drug traffickers. He also urged citizens to cooperate with the police and immediately report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15”.
