Pakistan, Turkiye reaffirm ties in call on regional ceasefire

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation with Turkiye’s Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, to discuss the evolving regional situation, the foreign ministry said.

During the call, Fidan expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s role in helping secure a recent ceasefire and conveyed Ankara’s full support, according to the statement issued on social media.

Both sides underscored the importance of continued diplomatic engagement and voiced hope that the ceasefire would lead to lasting peace and stability in the region. They also reaffirmed the strong bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Türkiye and agreed to remain in close contact. –Agencies
