ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi visited the Capital Police College (CPC) in Islamabad. During this visit, he held a special meeting with the Commandant of Capital Police College, Malik Jameel Zafar, Director of Special Initiatives Shamsul Haq Durrani, SSP Model Prisons Islamabad Ali Akbar, and the college staff.
In the meeting, the IGP Islamabad directed the college staff to utilize all their professional skills in line with modern requirements to make the training process more effective and result-oriented. He emphasized that the officers undergoing training should acquire their skills with dedication and hard work so that they can enhance the prestige of their institution in the future.

Later, IGP Islamabad also chaired a meeting with the Capital Police College (CPC) staff, where various issues related to improving the training system were discussed. The meeting focused on upgrading training modules, aligning station staff with the modern requirements of public service, improving training quality, and enhancing faculty capacity. Officers were assigned special tasks in this regard.
IGP Islamabad stated that training plays a fundamental role in the success of any institution, and no negligence in this area will be tolerated. He further directed that modern drills be designed to improve the physical fitness and operational performance of the force, with special attention given to crime control, effective investigations, and ethical training to help police officers establish better relationships with the public. Furthermore, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi inspected a modern armored vehicle and reviewed its operational capabilities. The vehicle is equipped with advanced safety systems and enhanced communication facilities, which will aid in rapid response and mobility during emergencies. IGP Islamabad directed the officers to effectively use the APC vehicle for high-risk operations, search and strike missions, and security of sensitive locations. He further stated that the relevant staff should be trained in the usage, maintenance, and operational strategy of this modern vehicle to ensure its effectiveness.
In emergency situations, these vehicles will play a crucial role in improving police performance and ensuring the safety of citizens.
IGP Islamabad also visited various police construction sites. On this occasion, he was accompanied by DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar, AIG Logistics Abdul Haq Umrani, SSP Model Prisons Islamabad Ali Akbar, and the AD Development and Planning.
He inspected several construction sites in detail and reviewed the progress and quality of the ongoing construction work. He directed all officers to ensure that all projects are completed within the stipulated timelines under all circumstances, and emphasized that no delays will be tolerated.
He further stated that the improvement of police infrastructure and the provision of modern facilities would significantly enhance the professional performance of the force. Better and high-quality buildings will not only benefit police officers but also improve the effectiveness of public service delivery. IGP Islamabad also directed senior police officers to ensure continuous and thorough monitoring of construction projects to prevent any compromise on quality. He made it clear that transparency, quality, and timely completion must be prioritized.
Later, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held a meeting with AIG Special Branch, Captain (Retd.) Syed Zeeshan Haider, where they reviewed security matters and intelligence operations in Islamabad.
IGp Islamabad directed the AIG Special Branch to take immediate and effective measures to enhance security arrangements and prevent crime. He emphasized that decisions should be based on effective intelligence to control crime rates, and security arrangements should be further strengthened.
He stressed that police resources should be optimized to improve intelligence operations, which would, in turn, enhance police performance in crime prevention. He directed full cooperation among all Special Branch teams and encouraged the more effective use of available resources to ensure citizen safety. IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi also held a meeting with DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq to review the strategy for the ongoing crackdown against criminal elements. He stressed the need for more effective measures to improve law and order in the city.
IGP Islamabad directed that the police strategy against criminals be further strengthened and issued directives to take necessary steps to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
