ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) National Central Bureau (NCB) Interpol arrested four suspects wanted in murder and fraud cases registered in Pakistan during a major operation in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The arrested accused were identified as Abdullah, Adil, Muhammad Adnan and Shah Faisal. He said that the suspects, who were wanted by Punjab Police in cases registered in Faisalabad and Sargodha, were apprehended in Abu Dhabi.
The official said that FIA-Interpol had earlier issued Red Notices for their arrest. He said the accused were shifted to Lahore Airport and handed over to Punjab Police by FIA Immigration authorities upon arrival.
The official said that the successful arrest and repatriation of the suspects was made possible through close coordination between Interpol Islamabad and Interpol Abu Dhabi.
FIA reiterated its commitment to bringing fugitives involved in serious crimes to justice through international cooperation.
