ISLAMABAD: A delegation of the Mid-Career Management Course visited the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Complex Islamabad. On this occasion, DG Safe City/DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joya, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, SSP CTD Saud Khan, and other senior police officers were also present.
During the visit, the delegation was given a detailed briefing on the requirements of modern policing, counter-terrorism measures, and the effective use of technology. Officers informed the delegation about the Safe City Project, the modern Command and Control System, and practical strategies adopted for crime prevention.
DG Safe City/DIG Traffic and DIG Islamabad, during the briefing, informed the delegation that through Safe City cameras, data analytics and intelligence-based operations, early identification of crimes and effective prevention are being ensured. They also highlighted the professional capabilities of the CTD, its counter-terrorism operations and integrated security strategies.
Furthermore, the delegation was given a practical tour of various operational units, monitoring centers and technology-equipped facilities. They were briefed on modern surveillance systems, emergency response mechanisms, and inter-agency coordination procedures. On this occasion, the officers also emphasized the importance of training, capacity building, and aligning policing practices with modern trends.
At the end of the visit, the DG Safe City presented a commemorative shield to the visiting delegation. The delegation appreciated the professional performance of Islamabad Police, its modern reforms, and effective use of technology, describing it as a model worth emulating for other institutions.
