Addl IG Balochistan visits Safe City, reviews advanced systems

ISLAMABAD: SSP Safe City/Capital Patrol Awais Khan, along with senior officers, hosted Additional IG Balochistan Ashfaq Ahmed Khan and his team during their visit to Safe City Islamabad.
The delegation was taken on a detailed tour of Safe City Islamabad central monitoring system, Command and Control Center, technologically advanced surveillance cameras, and Police Operations Center Hall, where they were informed about the operational procedures and utility of the system.
The delegation was informed that Safe City Islamabad is playing a vital role in various sectors through modern technological initiatives, including the Police Operations Center, Emergency Control Center, Dispatch Control Center, and the “Pukar 15” emergency helpline service.
The delegation was also briefed on the performance and effectiveness of Safe City cameras across the city. They were informed that the advanced surveillance cameras are playing an important role in maintaining city security, preventing crime, and protecting the lives and property of citizens.
It was further explained that facial recognition cameras have also been installed at the entry and exit points of the city, which are significantly helping in identifying suspicious individuals.
Moreover, the purpose of the visit was to closely examine the key role of Safe City Islamabad in reducing crime and to observe its surveillance mechanisms and operational procedures.
Additional IG Balochistan Ashfaq Ahmed Khan and his team appreciated Islamabad Police’s advanced technological system and its effectiveness. They also thanked IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and his team for the successful and informative visit.
