ISLAMABAD: Founder and Chairman of ACM Group of Industries, Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood Thursday called on Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi and discussed cooperation between the industrial sector and Pakistan Railways.
During the meeting, Talha Mahmood congratulated the railways minister on the reforms being introduced in the railway sector and appreciated the government’s efforts to improve operational efficiency and freight services.
The two sides exchanged views on enhancing cooperation between the industrial sector and Pakistan Railways, particularly regarding cargo transportation of raw materials from Karachi Port to the ACM Group’s factory located in Hattar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Talha Mahmood emphasized the need to expand railway cargo facilities to meet the growing demands of industry and facilitate smooth transportation of goods across the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Hanif Abbasi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing improved and efficient freight services to the industrial sector in order to support economic activity and industrial growth.
The meeting also discussed the effective utilization of the railway network to promote exports and strengthen industrial development in the country. –Agencies
