ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi remained engaged in important official matters until late at night. During this time, he conducted a detailed review of the prompt and effective resolution of public issues, professional policing standards, and various administrative and operational matters.
IGP Islamabad emphasized that the timely delivery of justice to citizens, a transparent investigative system, and strict compliance with legal requirements remain the foremost priorities of the police. He also held an important meeting with AIG Investigation/Complaints Syed Inayat Ali Shah and AIG Legal Tahir Kazim.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding cases under investigation, legal matters, redressal of public complaints, and the effective and timely provision of justice. Various aspects aimed at making the investigation process more transparent, impartial, and result-oriented were also reviewed.
Issuing directives to the concerned officers, the IGP Islamabad stated that any negligence or delay in protecting the lives and property of citizens and ensuring justice would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He further instructed all officers to address public complaints on a priority basis, dispose of pending cases strictly on merit at the earliest, and ensure compliance with all legal requirements during investigations.
Furthermore, the IGP Islamabad reaffirmed that Islamabad Police would continue to fulfill its responsibilities in accordance with the principles of the rule of law, transparency, and excellent public service while upholding the trust of the citizens.
