DG Safe City reviews traffic management

ISLAMABAD: Director General Safe City/DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joya chaired a meeting with traffic officers at Safe City Islamabad. Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, the Safe City IT team, Station Director FM, and other senior officers attended the meeting.
During the meeting, instructions were issued to launch a crackdown against traffic law violators, maintain uninterrupted traffic flow around cattle markets, address parking issues at public and tourist locations, and ensure the provision of the best facilities for citizens traveling on the roads of the federal capital and visiting traffic headquarters.
Directions were also issued to ensure lectures by the education team in educational institutions across Islamabad and to broadcast regular traffic updates and awareness messages regarding traffic laws on FM 92.4.
On this occasion, DG Safe City/DIG Traffic stated that Islamabad Police, through its officers, personnel, and Safe City cameras, is ensuring smooth traffic flow across the city. Citizens were advised to contact the traffic helpline 1915 and emergency helpline Pucar-15 in case of any guidance or traffic emergency.
