NUST honours 554 high achievers at awards ceremony

ISLAMABAD: The annual High Achiever Awards Ceremony was held at the Jinnah Auditorium of National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) here Tuesday to formally acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of high-performing students.
The ceremony is organized every year to recognize the achievements of NUST students who have brought laurels to the university through their outstanding performance in co-curricular activities at national and international events.
In his address as the chief guest, NUST Pro-Rector Academics Dr Osman Hasan (TI) underscored the significance of holistic student development as a fundamental pillar of the university’s vision.
He commended the students for their extraordinary accomplishments and lauded their unwavering dedication and perseverance, while also shedding light on the revised and more rigorous eligibility criteria.
Despite the heightened standards, an impressive number of students qualified for the awards, exemplifying the exceptional zeal, resilience, and commitment of the participants towards excellence.
The event was organized by the Student Affairs Directorate to honour the awardees of 2025. This year, an overwhelming 620 nominations were received, of which 554 were selected, including 386 in the international events category and 168 in the national events category.
The ceremony celebrated high achievers from the NUST H-12 Campus, the College of Aeronautical Engineering (CAE), the Military College of Engineering (MCE), the College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (CEME), and the Military College of Signals (MCS). A separate ceremony will be convened for the high achievers of the Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC) and NUST Balochistan Campus (NBC) at their respective campuses.
