ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani visited the Dar Ali bin Abi Talib Orphanage and School in Islamabad, where he toured classrooms, academic and residential facilities, vocational training centres, and recreational areas.
During the visit, he interacted with students and staff and appreciated the standard of education, care, and training being provided to orphaned children.
He praised the efforts of the institution’s management and teaching staff for supporting the development and well-being of the children.
Speaking on the occasion, Gilani said the welfare and education of orphaned and vulnerable children is a collective responsibility.
He stressed the importance of quality education, skills development, and a supportive environment to help children achieve their potential.
During a briefing, he was informed about the institution’s educational and welfare programmes and appreciated the humanitarian role of the Muslim World League in supporting such initiatives.
Saad Alharthi, Regional Director of the International Islamic Relief Organization, was also present and thanked the Chairman Senate for visiting the institution.
During their interaction, Gilani also spoke about the historical and cultural heritage of Multan.
He reaffirmed his support for initiatives aimed at improving educational opportunities and welfare services for children from vulnerable sections of society. –Agencies
