Namaz e Janaza for Shuhada of MI-17 helicopter crash offered at Chaklala Garrison

RAWALPINDI: Namaz e Janaza for Shuhada, who embraced Shahadat yesterday in a tragic MI-17 helicopter crash in Muzaffarabad, was offered here Thursday at Chaklala Garrison.
The Namaz e Janaza was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, COAS & CDF, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister of Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister of Information Atta ullah Tarar, senior civil and military officials, relatives of the Shuhada, and segments of the society, said a press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Earlier, Funeral Services of two shaheed Christian soldiers were offered at Christ Church, Rawalpindi, which was also attended by the political and military leadership.
Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister remarked that the martyrs’ devotion to duty, professionalism, and commitment to safeguarding the motherland will remain a source of inspiration for future generations, the news release said.
He emphasized that the sacrifices of Pakistan’s Armed Forces for peace, security, and national sovereignty can never be forgotten, reaffirming the nation’s unwavering support for the families of the martyrs during this difficult time.
Shuhada will be laid to rest in their respective native towns with full military honours. –Agencies
