Spider-Man: Brand New Day was just released last week and it already is the highest grossing film of this year, leaving all the box office hits behind.
The fourth Tom Holland movie was released on July 31, and has received millions of rave reviews, and crossed the $1 billion milestone worldwide.
Bringing a surprise Sadie Sink role, and dynamic performances from the regulars of the franchise, the movie left viewers with a memorable experience.
Fans flocked to the comments and celebrated the milestone, writing, “Only Avengers Doomsday has a shot at taking this spot this year!,” and “in only 6 days.”
A third chimed in, “Oh tom holland the man you are,” and “Avatar we’re coming for that chain.”
More gushed, “wait, brand new day hitting the top spot for 2026 already is actually massive,” and “As it should be! Such a beautiful movie it was, and had a lot of heart too.”
