ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke Sunday with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand and exchanged views on the regional situation, including the recently signed Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
DPM/FM shared with FM Anand the essence of the agreement and the joint resolve of the three countries to contribute to regional peace, stability and security.
They also discussed the evolving situation in the US-Iran context.
DPM/FM also raised the situation in Occupied East Jerusalem, including the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem recently held in Jordan.
Appreciating their frequent exchanges, DPM/FM thanked FM Anand for her recent visit to Pakistan. They agreed to remain closely engaged on issues of shared interest.
