ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an important meeting with AIG Investigations Syed Inayat Ali Shah and AIG Legal Tahir Kazim. The meeting reviewed investigation and legal matters, as well as progress on pending cases.
During the meeting, the concerned officers briefed the IGP Islamabad on cases under investigation and pending cases, legal matters, and the overall investigation process. Various issues concerning progress in investigations, fulfillment of legal requirements, and further improvement of policing standards were also discussed.
IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi directed that pending cases be brought to their logical conclusion at the earliest, strictly on merit and in accordance with available evidence and the law. He emphasized that quality, transparency, and professional standards must be maintained throughout the investigation process.
He further directed that effective coordination between the investigation and legal branches be maintained and that legal and investigative obstacles in cases be addressed promptly to ensure timely justice for citizens and improve the quality of police services. IGP Islamabad stated that effective investigations and strong legal proceedings are essential for combating crime and ensuring justice
He directed all concerned officers to perform their duties professionally and ensure the timely resolution of cases. Later, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi also met with SSP Abdul Haq Umrani. He appreciated his valuable services to Islamabad Police and expressed his best wishes for his new responsibilities.
