ISLAMABAD:Director General National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, on Wednesday, visited the National Forensics Agency (NFA), Islamabad and discussed measures to speed up forensic analysis of evidence and strengthen investigations in cyber crime cases.
Rizvi met Additional IGP/Director General NFA Jawad Ahmed Dogar and Director Crime Scene Unit (Retd) Colonel Shehzad Shafiq during the visit. The officials discussed closer coordination between the two agencies for the analysis of evidence in cybercrime cases and ways to make the investigation process faster and more effective.
The NCCIA chief Rizvi also inspected different sections of the National Forensics Agency, including its Digital Forensics Laboratory, and reviewed the facilities and technology being used for forensic examination.
Rizvi said the use of modern technology and stronger institutional coordination would help improve efforts to prevent and investigate cybercrimes. He stressed closer cooperation between NCCIA and NFA to strengthen evidence-based investigations and improve the handling of cybercrime cases.
