ISLAMABAD: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Ali Wasim held an important meeting with the in-charges of police facilitation centres and visited the Police Station on Wheels, where he reviewed police facilities being provided to citizens, service delivery and other administrative matters.
During the meeting, DIG Islamabad directed the officers to ensure the provision of better, transparent, timely and respectful police services to citizens. He emphasized the prompt and merit-based resolution of public complaints and directed officers to further improve the service delivery system with citizen facilitation as a top priority.
Later, DIG Islamabad visited the Police Station on Wheels and met the police officers deployed there. He was briefed that the Police Station on Wheels has provided various police services to more than 15,000 citizens since its establishment. The facility provides police station-related services as well as driving licence facilities at a single location. DIG Islamabad Ali Wasim said that the primary objective of the Police Station on Wheels is to bring police services closer to citizens and make the resolution of their issues easier and more efficient. He was informed that the Police Station on Wheels and Islamabad Traffic Police facilitation vans are also providing services at different locations during evening and night hours for the convenience of citizens.
DIG Islamabad directed the concerned officers to ensure the provision of quality and timely services and take further practical measures to make the police service delivery system more effective and citizen-friendly.
