Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said on Wednesday that the PTI long march will proceed to Swabi, where he will announce the future course of action. Addressing participants in Khyber district, Afridi said the talks held the previous day were political in nature.
Responding to allegations that the KP government was not cooperating, the chief minister said his government had presented its case before the public.
The KP CM said PTI founder Imran Khan had given the tribal people recognition and dignity. He said the tribal districts were merged with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2018, but their financial integration was still being denied.
He claimed the federal government owed Rs100 billion annually to the tribal districts following the merger. –Agencies
