ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, expressing condolences to the bereaved families and praying for the swift and full recovery of those injured.
In a post on X, the prime minister said attacks targeting civilians and critical infrastructure were “completely unacceptable” and posed a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
He described such acts of violence as a flagrant violation of international law and called for them to cease immediately.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s support for Saudi Arabia, Shehbaz said Islamabad stood in “unwavering solidarity” with the kingdom, its leadership and its people.
He also reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and security in accordance with the Makkah Joint Defence Allinace and the longstanding bonds between the two countries. –Agencies
