BEIJING: The offline exhibition of the 140th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, is underway, attracting large numbers of buyers from around the world. With a focus on innovation and digital intelligence, the fair showcases a wide range of AI-powered products, as emerging technologies and applications help drive industrial upgrading and support foreign trade growth.
Cutting-edge products on display include AI-powered humanoid robots and industrial robotic arms, autonomous window-cleaning robots, multilingual translation glasses and AI earphones. Through live demonstrations and interactive experiences, exhibitors are showcasing the latest technological breakthroughs and their practical applications.
Smart glasses equipped with AI can identify objects and provide relevant information through voice commands. One model on display allows users to check the estimated calorie content of food and receive low-calorie meal recommendations through a connected mobile application. Health wearables are also evolving, with screenless smart bands and smart rings offering compact alternatives to conventional devices. Some can operate for one to two weeks on a single charge, while their companion apps generate AI-powered health reports and offer personalized health management recommendations.
AI earphones are designed to improve speech recognition in noisy environments, facilitating smoother cross-language communication. Exhibitors said continued research and development had improved sound pickup, helping maintain recognition quality even in the crowded exhibition venue.
The fair is showcasing 235,000 AI products, while more than 20,000 participating enterprises have adopted new technologies and business models, including industrial internet and AI.
Exhibitors are focusing on turning technological advances into practical applications and bringing research achievements to market.
In the home appliance section, companies are integrating AI into a range of household settings, including living rooms, kitchens and laundry areas. Rather than focusing solely on individual appliances, exhibitors are offering integrated smart home solutions designed to address everyday needs, attracting considerable interest from overseas buyers. –The Daily Mail-CGTN news exchange item
