ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Capt. (retd) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry chaired a crime meeting to review crime prevention measures and the overall performance of Islamabad Police.
The meeting was attended by DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem, SSP Law and Order and Organized Crime Unit Hasam Bin Iqbal, SSP Investigation Suleman Zafar, zonal SPs, SDPOs and SHOs.
During the meeting, the IGP Islamabad reviewed crime prevention measures, the overall performance of Islamabad Police, and progress in under investigation cases.
He directed the officers to launch effective operations against active gangs involved in motorcycle and vehicle theft, ensure the arrest of the accused, and recover stolen vehicles and motorcycles.
He further instructed the officers to ensure the timely disposal of under investigation cases while maintaining merit and transparency, and to continue indiscriminate action against criminal elements. He also directed them to enhance police patrolling and ensure prompt redressal of citizens grievances.
The IGP Islamabad emphasized that officers demonstrating outstanding performance would be encouraged and rewarded. Accordingly, police officers who displayed exceptional professional competence were presented with rewards in recognition of their performance.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry stated that recognizing outstanding performance is essential to boosting the morale of the police force and further strengthening its professional capabilities.
He reiterated that protecting the lives and property of citizens remains the foremost priority of Islamabad Police. He directed officers to utilize all available resources to combat crime, maintain law and order, and provide citizens with a safe and secure environment.
He further instructed all officers to discharge their duties with dedication, professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility to achieve effective results in crime prevention and the protection of citizens.
