ISLAMABAD: On the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, Islamabad Police organized open courts in mosques across the city. Zonal SPs, SDPOs and SHOs held these sessions in their respective areas, which were attended by a large number of local residents and community representatives.
During the open courts, participants highlighted their issues and shared suggestions for improving public services and maintaining peace and security in their respective areas. The police officers listened to their concerns and issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned officials for the prompt resolution of pending issues. They also assured participants that their suggestions would be given due consideration and necessary action would be taken accordingly.
Addressing the participants, police officers stated that the IGP Islamabad has directed all officers to regularly hold open courts in their respective jurisdictions to maintain direct communication with citizens and ensure the timely resolution of their complaints and concerns.
They further emphasized that Islamabad Police remains committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and serving the community around the clock. They added that effective strategies and coordinated measures are being taken against criminal elements, while further efforts are underway to prevent crime and improve the overall law and order situation.
The primary objective of these open courts is to strengthen police-public relations, provide citizens with direct access to police officers, ensure prompt resolution of public grievances and promote mutual trust and cooperation between the police and the community.
