Iran’s Navy has said two more oil tankers caught fire after striking naval mines east of the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday, IRNA reported.
According to the navy, the incidents occurred after the vessels ignored maritime warnings and entered restricted waters without prior coordination.
The navy reiterated that the strait remained unsafe and closed to vessels attempting to transit without coordination, warning tanker operators against unauthorised passage. –Agencies
