PATNA: A day after police jailed a man for allegedly violating his two teenage daughters, one of the survivors recorded her statement against her father before a judicial magistrate in Patna.
Guddu Sharma (name changed to hide his daughters’ identity) was arrested late on Monday night following a complaint lodged by one of the girls at Agamkuan police station.
He was remanded in judicial custody, City SP (east) Vishal Sharma told media.
Sharma worked in a printing press. His family includes his wife, two daughters and a son.
The complainant, a Class X student, told police she and her elder sister, who is studying in Class XII, were repeatedly raped by their father.
They kept quiet on the request of their mother who feared their father would further torture them if they raised voice.
