Pakistan will respond to any act of aggression: President Arif Alvi

President Arif Alvi said that the country faced both internal and external challenges but stressed that the country remained fully prepared and was capable of responding to any acts of aggression.
The president was speaking at the passing out parade of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) cadets in Risalpur.
Reiterating on Pakistan’s policy of maintaining friendly relations with its neighbours, the president said the country desires warm foreign relations based on mutual respect with the international community.
He also displayed a firm commitment to fighting the war on terror for which the country has sacrificed immensely.
Alvi said that the country is facing both internal and external challenges but vowed to overcome them through a cohesive approach. He added that our struggle against terrorism has played a vital role in regional peace and security and “our armed forces displayed immaculate harmony in the operations against terrorism”.
Furthermore, he praised the PAF for being the cornerstone of national defense and playing a vital role in the “annihilation of terrorist sanctuaries”.
The president, during the ceremony, said the graduating cadets have been trained in line with the finest traditions set by the great air warriors of the past and expressed confidence that they will set new records in the line of duty. He also urged them to showcase professionalism in order to maintain the supremacy of the armed forces.
He assured the PAF of the government’s complete support in providing resources to obtain the latest technology to ensure national defense while acknowledging their efforts towards indigenisation.
The president was presented with a guard of honor and PAF aircraft presented a fly past.
The ceremony was also attended by Air Chief Mujahid Anwar and the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan.
